Our company Brand Master, Brian Ma, brings over 20 years of professional experience in Brand Building, Business of Design and Marketing. He received his Executive MBA from Ivey School of Business, Master of Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University, Bachelor of Architecture from World #1 design school, Rhode Island School of Design and a former P&G Global Beauty & Grooming Retail Experience Director.

Prior founding Iconic, he has held numerous executive marketing and design leadership and senior management positions at world largest FMCG Company – Procter & Gamble, the Dairy Farm Company, and world-sexiest intimate apparel brand – Victoria's Secret.

Case Study

Case 1 - Procter & Gamble

Brian was the founder and head of Brand Creative & Retail Design Team. He was top "1" rated for 4 consecutive years with the company. On the Beauty business, he led Olay US$3.0 Billion global retail vision, strategy and shopper based design innovation, Asia in-store brand equity and visual merchandising, process, budget and operation, "go-to-market" strategic framework and white space markets expansion. With the Design function, he was responsible for talent acquisition, people development, new business creation, retail design capability building and external retail design agencies relationship management. He was a Key Member(s) of Global and Asia Personal Beauty and Olay Brand Franchise and Regional Leadership Teams

Case 2 - OLAY Diamond

OLAY Diamond – Giving a Classic Brand the Edge.

Brian, former P&G Beauty and Grooming – Global Retail Experience Director, led the transformation of Olay's shopper experience with project ‘Diamond'. His vision was to deliver a new level of Olay's consumer engagement. His intent was not to evolve the brand, rather REINVENT a best-in-class retail environment that immersed with the consumer in the world of Olay. Brian developed the strategy around creating an irresistible DESTINATION that touched all of her senses and changed her perception of the brand from old, "my mother's brand", unapproachable and expected to one that is in touch with her life and needs and breaks through the clutter and "sameness" of today's retail environment. The consumer testing results were in P&G history, best ever with an increase of 72% in Stopping Power, climb 54% on brand awareness, and purchase intent shift towards Olay jumped +39%. All this translates to an upside potential of USD 100 Million.

Case 3 - M.A.C. Cosmetics

After graduating from Columbia University with the Master of Architecture, Brian begins his retail career with a boutique-sized firm, Lalire March Architects in New York City. He led over 30 MAC Cosmetics & J. Crew flagship architectural projects from initial concept, design and development stages, to contractors bidding and qualification, project management and construction administration of throughout North America.

Case 4 - RAQUEL

Honey Lady Intimates Limited, one of world largest lingerie OEM engaged ICONIC to transform their business. ICONIC partner with Honey Lady's senior management to built Honey Lady Branding Company from ground-up. ICONIC acted as Raquel's CEO, we led brand development, talent acquisition, organizational structure, business plan, 3 years marketing plan, digital, brand architecture, store design and development, marketing campaign, products photography, sell-in to shopping centers in Indonesiaand POS systems.

ICONIC and Honey Lady multi-functional teams collaborate and gave birth to "Raquel" a French inspired, global intimate apparel brand.The brand is passionately created to bring out the confidence, femininity and inner charm in every modern woman with graceful lingerie made with the finest materials, in Raquel’s tradition of exceptional quality, fine craftsmanship, comfort and elegance.

Case 5 - ThreeSixty

Head of Retail at Dairy Farm Company, Brian led the creation of ThreeSixty, Asia first organic and wholefood supermarket.

Case 6 - KEER

KEER Jewelry was born in 1999. KEER is a well-know jewelry brand in China with sales revenue topping US$1Billion in 2013. KEER is not a western follower; it is rooted in the pure of oriental culture.

KEER created a "new Oriental naturalism" jewelry culture and transform customers view towards luxury-affordable jewelry segment. KEER invited ICONIC in collaboration with StartJG to re-position the KEER Brand and develop the new DADA brand.
